so i have this friend that recorded a video on their computer and it plays fine with audio and video, but after e-mailing me the video, the video is in slow motion it seems and there is no more audio. is there anyway to fix this?

What video player are you using to view it. Try VLC if you don't have it already should by it properly and plays just about every thing.

Check whether the video is in hi-res, check your computer spec is high enough to play those video, check what is the files size of the video, check the video codec.
