I just installed a new screensaver and ever since doing so, my computer won't go into standby. I set the screensaver to go on at 1 minute and the system to stand by at 2 minutes. The screensaver went on, but the system never went off. I changed the screensaver to one of the standard ones and it did go into standby as expected.

If it's any help to know, I'm using a Toshiba Satellite,

and the Screensaver was made with "Screentime for Flash"

One thing I think might have something to do with it, is that this screensaver comes with sound. I can "mute" the sound via an option (the only option) in the screensaver's settings. But I think it might be still using the sound card, and I think the computer might not be going into standby because it thinks I'm trying to play some song or video or something. Just a guess.

Any thoughts? Anything I can do to make standby work as desired? Otherwise I just won't use the saver any more .

It sounds like the screensaver wasn't coded right.
