I have Win98 with an HP CD-Writer Plus 8100 series. I am trying to copy files to a blank cd-rw 700mb and I keep getting this darn error mssg:
D:\ is not accessible - A device attatched to the system is not functioning.
I can't figure out what "device" is not functioning. Any help would be GREATLY apprecieated. Thanks.

- Can the drive read disks?
- What burning software are you using?
- Does Device Manager see the drive and report it to be functional? To find out, right-click on your My Computer icon, choose Properties, go to the Hardware tab, and click Device Manager.
