Hi. I have a VPN in place between two SonicWall routers (A and B) in two different towns with two different ISPs.

At Site A we have a new ISP who gve me a Modem/router in a box but I only want the modem portion because I do not want to have to setup a VPN between the new comcast router and my siteB.

Can I do that? Thanks.

I can't see why not. Most modern routers connect to the web, and a modem will certainty connect.

Give it a go, any problems, let us know.

Modem/router is this a single device or 2 separate devices. Most ISP provide business with static IP so if it's 2 separate devices you would have to call the company and let them know you want to set the static IP on you router ( might be an issue with the company) but give it a shot.
