pls l ve a problem limited connectivity and l ve try the winsock xp fix it and the command netsh winsock reset catalog but no solution yet. pls do help with more possible solution to go about it l really need to connect to the internet,.my syst is a p4 desktop with xp operating system.

how do you connect to the internet?
do you have a router in place. Does your ISP assign a static ip address or is it DHCP?

Whoops, my bad. I split this thread off of another one, then had to set a name for this thread. Rereading the question, all the poster said was "limited connectivity", not "limited or no connectivity", so I must have misread. The OP isn't necessarily getting that error message, sorry about that.
