hi i'm new here so sorry if i'm posting in the wrong forum.

Today when I logged onto my computer i was bestranged to find 2 icons on my desktop linked to pornography websites i wouldn't dream of going to.

Anyway i deleted the desktop icons via the recycling bin however as soon as they got deleted they reapeared again and won't go away.

I believe i have a malware virus i'm guessing as i keep getting critical system warnings and every 10 minutes or so the screen turns blue and warns me that there is viscious stuff on my computer.

I have run Norton however it comes up with nothing so I tried AVG and got the same result.

Could anyone please help me get rid of this please?

Most operating systems come with a system "reload" option. This is often your last resort due to the fact that you will do a complete wipe of your c:\ and any partitioned drives that you may have. All data WILL be lost (including malicious code). Be aware that if you are going to back up data, you might always mistakenly back up the malicious file. Good luck.

Run malware bytes and cc cleaner should do the job. There should be no reason to re-format a drive cause of 2 desktop icon's

I did what you said and it found over 50 infections that the other anti virus software failed to find and it did the job perfectly so thanks :)

Antivirus programs didn't find them because there are malware/spyware and not Viruses
