I have a netgear WGT624 and I have an issue with my hp psc 2510 photosmart. When I try to install it I can't get by Setting a network protocal. When I hit next it sends me back to connection type. It also sets an IP address automatically to 169.254.84.217. The install will not let me change this.

Did I install the netgear wrong? I had another netgear router on before and it worked well but I wanted this newer wireless router.

My modem also kicks out at times but given a minute it comes back on. I since reinstalled the router and the internet has been working fine. I still cannot install the printer.

I use windows XP pro.

Please help.
