I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge in this area, but if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
I am in need of a more efficient set up to connect two offices. We do primarily cad drafting. We are constantly modifying files and often times have issues with files being current at the different office locations. Right now we use gotomypc.com (slow) to transfer the files between offices. This causes us to have to manually check each file we transfer to see what is more current. Is there a way to set up a pair of servers that are a mirror image of each other so when a file is modified at office A it will update the change to the server in office B? If a file is open in office A will it show as read only if someone in office B tries to access the file? I know his isnt much info but feel free toask and I can see what I can offer for information. Is some sort of VPN the answer?
