I have the Vonage VoIP phone service and the router stopped working after a storm and the cable went out (Broadband). My modem is still functioning properly and my internet connection is fine. However, the phone ports will not work. All appropriate lights on the router are on (including phone port 1). I have rebooted to my hearts content. I feel that if I took a power surge that the router would not function at all. Is this correct? Should I re-install the firmware on the router?

you should reset your router and make sure you're forwarding the necesary ports.

Thanks! I reset the router via the Llinksys website and it received the updates from Vonage and is working correctly.
