I want to backup personal files on my computer. It is Gateway with Vista.
I want to buy an external hard drive. Any suggestions?

Jump to Postyou can buy it. but I think cd or dvd is better for it. cause some time hard drive will crash. but if you properly save your cd or dvd then it is safety then hard drive.

agree with abu taher, better to back up in cd or dvd but if you're trying to back up files which has large capacity like 10gig or more..then you got no choice but to back it up on a external hard drive.
got files in disc which has been around for years..but hard drive it depends on your luck..LOL.. Goodluck!
