>What's Brainiac?
Brainiac Science Abuse http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brainiac:_Science_Abuse
>I'm pretty sure wrestling is fake, unless you are referring to mud wrestling.
but the people are real, which was the argument for magicians.....
I know you can walk on custard thanks to Brainiac :D
The two are synonymous words. illusion is just a pretty way of saying fake. That of course says nothing about the entertainment value of their profession. Everyone (almost anyway) knows what they do is fake -- its how they do it that's the mystery.
I take great exception to the statements "he's fake" and "Every magician is fake." Magicians are not fake. They are real people.
What they do is also not fake. They perform illusions -- which are not meant to be real, but you as an audience member cannot explain easily how the illusion is accomplished.
Please don't denegrate the profession by calling the magician fake. It's not nice...
Can i apply both of them to wrestling? [/waaay off topic but sprung to mind]
and it was blocks damnit! [/on topic ;) ]
In september i start my second year of college (in england). After i have two choices: job, uni or unemployeed.. ok three ;)
If i went to uni i would do a software engineering course, so I've spent the last hour on google trying to find out about work experience/jobs/apprenticeships that you can get in that field, and not found alot.
Does anyone now of useful places to look? Companies that look for students? that sort of thing..
I'm doing BTEC National Diploma in ICT at college, plus AS psychology, maybe AS maths this year.
And has anyone taking the work experience route into work rather than a degree?
>here a small pack of cigarettes is like £5 (£10?)
£2 something for 10 and £5 for 20 i think, if i remember my days in the newsagents correctly.
Someone in the comments says the girl doesn't have legs. And she was too good at moving with just arms,
Pretty damn cool though!
as for pexiglass blocks, they might not have been organised exactly like that, maybe some are in a bridge hence how the girl swam under his foot.
>Do you even realize why I had made that statement in my previous post? If no, then you better read the previous posts before asking such obvious questions.
Maybe the original poster (sk8?) finds smoking on the same "rudeness" level as masturbating. and yes i did read it.
Camera angles and stooges play a HUGE part in that illusion.
I saw something in the paper about that.....
;)
>The Illuminati
OMGODZ DA VINcI CODE DERREN BROWN IS DA DECIPLE!!!!
*ahem*
>>On a serious note, I think you should keep such things out of discussion. There are better way of being sarcastic / putting across your point.
Why?
I don't know how you set a shortcute but i got it to work :D
Kicks ass. but is the cube only supposed to show when you hold down the hotkey combo?or is there a way to get it to permantly show?
Yeah, first part platform, second blocks, or there was a break so the person could swim through. Also, was the person directly under his feet? *rewatches* not quite.
In the comments there's a theory of moving glass.
...................................................
I spent the last hour reading this thread.. every page, nearly every post. I'll stay out of the socalism/consitution discussion as i know nothing of it, but here's what stuck out in my mind:
but, the thing is... it depends on the restaurant you go to... i think no one would be as idiotic to go and smoke at a McDonalds... but if you're at Ruby Tuesday's for example, that's why they have a smokers and non smokers section...
Why wouldn't you smoke at McDonalds?
When would someone under 18 try to force someone else to smoke? - sk8
All the time, do you live under a rock? Or somehow have never encountered peer pressure....... dang can i live your life sometime?
All the time. And I'm the living example of why not. Just like my Dad. - dave
:D That was a great quote.
True. Now it's just marijuana and alcohol. ;-) - Christina
ahem :halo: ;)
But it was probably a bad choice since my point was poorly dropped in. This was half intentional, in part also because I was trying to see if I would be immediately stereotyped as gay bashing rather than trying to work the health risk or government intrusion tie-ins. - dave
You weren't, which must show something..
Wait a second: if you don't like cigarette smoke so much, why is your favorite restaurant the one that has smoke lingering in the air? Are you retarded, …
Assuming he didn't have some form of glass platform under there (water would have probably obscured it from the camera, but I did see someone diving through his path, partially above water, which kind of works against this idea), then I'm at a loss as to how he did this.
or just blocks, plus all the people in the water were most likely stooges in on it, hence knew how to act, where to swim.
Congrats on the first place and i hope you do the same in this one. :)
i tried the shotting star twice and gave up and used my skip :)
According to my walkthrough that is how you do it :-p
*opens mouth to argue*......
Good point.
>>humans
they are not cool. they are evil. EVIL!

Forget the OS: Mac, Linux, Windows, ?,,, It's the Desktop Search stupid!
The next most important apps are: (2) My Video Camera Software & My VB5.0 Search compiler,
(3) Net Browser, (4) Paint & NotePad, (5) Operating Systems, (6) PrintKey 2000, (7) games,,,
-----------------Individual preferences may change the above order. The OS will seldom be in #1st place.
With a good backup of their data and this Search; even the most non-technical user
can be in complete control of their PC data. Just like I am.The entry level computer users, will have better access to their Video, Music, Pictures
and Text, than the Know-It-Alls, at this MicroSoft Web-Site:http://channel9.msdn.com/showuserthr...x?userid=31672
With this Search and a few short video demos. You'll be well on your way to carefree
fun with your computer. Those Operating Systems; can do This and That and a lot lot more obscure functions,
that are only of interest, to the Geekiest. For Me: I want to know as little as is
humanly possible, about the OS.Small wonder these OS Giants; love the never-ending drivel on the Net, about which OS
is Best. (Mac vs Windows), (Linux vs Windows), (Mac vs Linux) .... When in reality;
they are ALL quite insignificant. Buy buy the latest and greatest OS.SELL your Operating System Company shares FAST!
This Spectate …
hmm our college computers do that. something to do with it treats you as a new user.
uh, how do you start it? excuse my stupidity..
Yestrerday i saw a good one in the paper where some policemen were chasing a suspect so they comandeered a rickshaw and made siren noises
haha i heard about that, i mean who would take that seriously? :D
Have you defragmeneted it?
start > all programs > system tools > deframgent
Might help. As for installing on a new harddrive you need a xp disk, which microsoft should be able to help with.
no no i don't mean it like that. Im thinking about it in a deeper sense it actually has nothing to do with wether you function or agree with society. When i say society i mean that its something accepted by all(or most) of us that everone has a right to these things.
However. Imagine you were born into a society say where its custom to kill your every child born exceot for say those born in a certain month. Now we would see this as a horrific thing and say that all babies have a right to live no matter what month they were born on. However that society would disagree because that is what they are used to.
What i am trying to say is that "Rights" are simply whats accepted by the society we live in and not something that we are born with.
Its hard to explain exactly what i mean when i say that. but its probably just me thinking too hard.
Makes sense.
What model is it? Most come with a built in function to create your own CD for that sort of fixing.
Have you tried resetting your router (either through turning on and off, or a setting somewhere which your instructions should tell you). That could work.
Also your firewall might have flipped and is blocking everything but ping results should indicate that.
Annoyance no.something: People who promise to do something (or not in this case), fail, drag you down, and claim YOU failed. >:O
and and being accused of something i haven't done. Good lord don't do that to me. *devil claws*
Yeah, try that. Or get rid of Norton, AVG or Avast work just as well and are free.
>Um, have you tried counting? They're not counting the button holes...
Yeah i saw P O O three. Mum said "and the one in the middle". If ya doing it like that, then there's only one 'cause the rest are dips :P
also i found a step by step guide http://escapetheroom.blogspot.com/2007/03/impossible-quiz.html#comment-4911986997441611409
I got to around 80 something, with abit of help before i said "Kim, you've been doing this THREE HOURS. Stop, now." :D
>lol nice hbk :P
>I don't work, dang i need money.........

>>Firefox is far more secure than Internet Explorer.
that's not proven. A site i was reading tested all browsers and IE7 came up better on security than Firefox. But opera won overall i believe.

>because that is what is generally accepted by society. Hence why murder is against the law.
So only if you function/agree with society do you have that right. Then it's not something you're born with. Which answers your question... ?
Question 42: What is the answer to life, the universe and everything. (hint: it's 42)
there's too many to pick!!! I only have one life left. :(
edit: nevermind i found another site to help XD i'm such a cheat.
