rproffitt...thanks for the reply. So, would these be the steps:
1] Install office 2003 and validate it.
2] Before running any of its programs, install office 2003 sp3
thanks

I would like to know if MS office 2003 can be installed and run correctly on a 64bit PC running win7 . I couldn't find an answer in my search. Google search results were mixed. Thanks
I just sent the latest one to you. Thanks for sortng this out!
starting a few days ago I have been getting bombarded daily with blank emails with the subject line "DaniWeb Digest for johnruelle".
WTF ?
RobertHDD...after reading your post I did some digging into WintoFlash, as it sounded interesting. The reviews on CNET were very bad:

any truth to the comments that it is loaded with adware and worse?
Rubberman....interesting view on Sony!
About SD cards. From what I have read about them, the flash memory that goes into them is not as good as SDD memory and does not last long. But as per your comment, it might last if only written to a couple of times. Interesting thought. Do you have any references supporting this?
thanks
Glen...I was referring to a Daniweb search. You're right...there is a ton of info on Google but I was looking specifically to experience from daniweb users.
Thanks
Sory if this thread already exists...I couldn't find it in a search. Has anyone had experience using high capacity M-disks? Are they as great as advertised, and what make of blue ray burner would you recommend for the high capacity disks?
Thanks
I had a problem imaging a HD using acronis TI home 2010. The work-around was to run scan disk to fix some bad sectors. Acronis TI worked fine after that.
Robert...all good. I had a frustrating day.
Long live XP !!
I thought I had but anyway...no problem.
Robert...you're joking right? Gee, I didn't know MS stopped updating XP. I guess I should have stated in my post...."MS pulled the plug on XP".
I can't help but see a similarity between the old Y2K fear mongering that took place (planes crashing, elevators stalled, cats sleeping with dogs) and that of XP. It would be informative if someone could post the stats on all the devastating attacks that have taken place since MS pulled the plug on XP.
IMO, if one keeps an up todate image of their XP system, a rare attack would amount to less than an hour of inconvenience.
I still use XP. I would really appreciate it if someone could make a comment on how reliable a good router is in protecting my network. From my studies on routers, they can provide good protection if properly set up.
thanks
