>Exactly. Giving, Sturm.
Do you give presents to people who don't return the favor?
>Exactly. Giving, Sturm.
Do you give presents to people who don't return the favor?
So what's the problem? (besides your bad code)
You might need to replace your CMOS battery.
>I just tend to think of it as giving like Christ would give.
By buying low quality crap from Wal-Mart which tacitly supports American materialism and consumerism? Sure sounds like "Christ" to me. Holidays are just excuses for corporations to sell you crap.
>Does this ever happen with any other sites?
Nope, usaully Opera just crashes.
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
A really lame method of generating a usable xorg.conf is booting up w/ Ubuntu and stealing it. ;-)
>No necessarily yours. It's probably Opera's.
Probably Opera's? Daniweb is the only forum that Opera seems to have trouble with.
>All pages look like this?
Only ~10% of the time. I usually just refresh the page and it fixes everything.
>What do you mean by these problems are not recent?
I've been experiencing these problems since I first switched to Opera.
>Hello, I believe the D810 uses the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 card, from everywhere I've checked. If that's the case, you will need to install the ipw2200 driver.
Didn't he say he had a 1370 WLan-PCI Card? Call it a hunch but I don't think they're the same.
These problems are not really recent or anything, but I would just like to bring the problem to your attention. The attached screenshots should say enough.
Yeah I agree with Joe, you need to use Real Linux (tm).
>Do I have an odd-ball install, or what?
Probably not, I just haven't used Debian in awhile.
Could you just post your xorg.conf file? (/etc/X11/)
I use a slightly modded ll alg, as I solve edges first, then corners.
I find it quite funny that a "modern" web browser needs an add-on to block content from a predefined list of urls.
Those WMDs were in fact found. But whenever something was found the press (and the "experts" from the left) denounced it as "not enough".
Even when they found entire factories it was considered "not enough".
You make all these outrageous claims yet never site your sources. I wonder why this is.
New record!!! 51 seconds!
granted, I was quite lucky...
I carry around 4 rubiks cubes in my backpack, since they get confiscated during class... But yeah I normally carry around one with me.
Have you tried cube lube? Does it help?
Mine? ;-)
try dpkg --configure xserver-xorg
Eh...I've abandoned tiling wms, as they don't work well with many apps... currently I use evilwm.
Yeah all cubes can be solved in less than 26 moves, but my average is ~130. With the petrus system, you can solve in ~40 moves...
The Petrus system takes _a lot_ of thinking though. (or at least until you master it)
My best is 1 minute 6 seconds. What system do you use? I use vanilla layer by layer but currently learning the petrus system.
I don't think "newbie" questions are the real detterrent to "advanced users." It's more of how the questions are asked (e.i if they post what they've done so far) and the spelling of the OP. Maybe if a spell censor was implemented which filtered out words/letters such as 'u', 'y','ic', etc.
>sturm - is that for Sturm und Drang? Your avatar looks vaguely familiar and somewhat disturbing
My avatar is from brokensaints. The name 'Sturm' actually came from Dragon Lance, even though Raistlin Majere is my favorite character.
>ok, that's just lame. does anybody have any "realistic" suggestions?
Pass a bill that allows the government to revoke the business license(s) of all companies who employ illegal immigrants.
Require a photo id for all purchases.
Allow citizens to execute a citizens arrest on all illegal immigrants in return for a monetary reward.
Maybe not summary execution but you get the idea ;-)
When I said "The holes in any wall can be plugged by fear." I was implying summary execution.
The holes in any wall can be plugged by fear.
>No matter what you throw at them, they just keep coming and coming until Dani finally gets them into the hydraulic press and they're history.
And when is this time going to come?
Ah I don't know I haven't used debian in a while, things might of changed... Regardless you could just edit your xorg.conf manually.
lamb chops and cran-rasberry juice.
Ok if you use firefox: type about:config
in the address bar, then search ipv6 and you should get some variable called ipv6Disabled or something of that sort. Set it to true.
If your not using firefox than add the lines:
alias net-pf-10 off
alias ipv6 off
to /etc/modprobe.conf
Have you tried disabling ipv6?
You dual booting *nix? ATI cards suck (though drivers are getting better) on linux...
Have you tried anything else?
>ill take a look at Acceralted C++ - i dont like the "in 21 days" books - the only one of them which i ever got on with was the SQL one, that was excellent
I bought accelerated c++ a few months (I think) ago and it is awesome. Unlike the previous c++ books I've bought, accelerated c++ actually teaches you how to program, not just the syntax. I can honestly say that every single program used as examples in accelerated c++ solves a real (sorta) problem.
I had a similiar problem when I was using debian awhile back. As Jbennet suggested, do dpkg --reconfigure xserver-org
and ONLY select the res of our monitor when configuring.
Would it be possible to force members to at least click on a predefined list of threads before they post in that respective forum? I think this would really improve the quality of posts and save _ a lot_ of time for mods and such.
I believe there is some law in the UK that jews aren't allowed to wear chainmail...
and the people naive enough to accept quickly realize that they cant bring their families with. why? scared that it would lower your per capita income?
if america has such an issue with migrants then they should not try and draw the skilled migrant while trying to discourage the unskilled. or is fairness an outdated concept in this modern world.
i dont fully agree with codder. the americans have built their pool of capital stock which forms the backbone of their economy. and i have already said all that i have to say about stolen land so i am not going to say it again. but cooder's point was perhaps that the rich nations of the world stole some. two hundred years ago thay colonised. now they steal human capital. if you feel that migrants have no place in your societies then dont get selective by alowing the skilled and the rich easy acces to your country. these can do a lot for their own poorer countries.
Did I ever say I was against immigration? No I didn't. I'm all for immigration of educated and intelligent people. Why shouldn't we only allow access for the skilled and rich, they benefit and contribute to our society, unlike the poor, unskilled, and uneducated. America and other western countries aren't asylums for every idiot on Earth, it's not our job to help any other country or their citizens. A countries first priority should always be to help itself.
