I listen to almost anything, from classical to heavy, and even underground death metal (used to)... but lately, i'm into 80's pop... new wave and stuff...
nice, that issue never came up to me. It's really nice to know something new... :)
remember:
Hard work pays off in the future, Lazyness pays off now.
how true, how true...
yeah, i heard that. I saw on the news that people in the Philipines do that. Man, i don't know how they do it. It must hurt like hell. They must really have a lot of faith.
I'm from the Philippines and yes, people here do re-enact the crucifixion every year. most of them are die-hard devotees. They actually made a pledge to do it annually as a way of showing their repentance... and yes, it does seem to hurt like hell.. :)

That having been said I have spent a great deal of money on the DVD sets of TNG, DS9 and Voyager (which is being released this year) and I fully expect that Enterprise will be another collection once Paramount sees fit to give it the DVD treatment it deserves. Am I crazy for spending that much money on TV shows? I don't know but I do know I've spent many fun hours reviewing the attack at wolf 359 without having to suffer through some damn commercial for a pile of crap car I'll never afford or the latest of a million other assorted pieces of junk I don't care if I ever hear about...
OK, I've ranted enough, now back to our regulaly schedled program...
:o
I wonder where I can get a copy of all the 7 seasons of The Voyager series... You have any ideas? coz' I'm really into it.

I don't think you should know who gave you a positive/negative rep. coz some people might take it personally and get back at whoever gave them the rep...

I'm planning on using iKobo too... well, really because where I'm from is not covered by Paypal...
well, maybe because they got used to it... But I think slackware is on top of the polls now... I still haven't decided on what to use though....
I would tell you about me but I know you won't give a damn anyway, so I might as well don't... :P
what kind of mail server do you have? Imap? POP3??

not trying to offend or flame anybody, but i don't think it's that good a series... I'd rather watch Enterprise and drool over T'Pol, or a rerun of Star Trek Voyager and again drool over Seven of Nine... :)

actually, I'm also curious of this reputation system... I never really understood how it works... can you see who rated who?
not even a smoking gun in sight...
ahh, the beauty of pirated softwares...
the beauty of the headaches you get from it...

It is truly amazing how a lot of these hosting companies stay in business. I pushed out a real quick website for a "friend-of-a-friend" type of person and the hosting provider that this company was using was terrible. I can't tell you how many times there host went down for hours or even a day at a time over the course of several months. It seemed that every couple of telnet sessions I would run would cause the site to be down. I am not even talking heavy hitting site. Low visits with static html, and the only thing done inside of the telnet session was vi!
You should try my DSL provider... you wouldn't know sumthing's wrong until they got it fixed. Try and call them up and this annoying answering machine keeps on telling you that customers are important to them yet you have to wait for at least an hour and a half to get your call answered. And that's not all of it, they'll even tell you to try and call back later... those @#$!.... all they think about is profit...
Hi! I was wadnering how do you physically acess your cookies in netscape 7.1? Like in Notepad? I just can't find it.
I suggest you switch to mozilla.org.
Also is it possible somebody could tell what websites youve been on, by looking at your cookies?
Thx!
Jason
Yes, I think you can see what sites you have been to by looking at your cookies... You haven't been surfing onto porn sites have you?? *wink* :)
I think it's a virus if it's not in \winnt\system32\ folder.. or sumthin
lol.
Welcome to what we penguinistas affectionately call "The Distro Wars"!
(And watch out for those Slackware folks; die-hard Mac zealots have nothing on them... :D )
nah, this doesn't seem like a Distro War. Just exchanges of opinions...
we're all entitled to our own anyway...

I asked Dani abt this and she told me to post it to ask for opinions... she was right that there's gonna be a lot of different opinions from the members... :) good thing I did what she said... :)

Considering you are using the name 'administrator' most likly this is a windows NT/2k/xp machine as those are the only Operating systems that use that name specificly. You can download a bootdisk to change this password from:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/
You can do this if you need the applications installed with the laptop. But according to you, you bought the laptop second hand.... I suggest you do a full and clean install of the OS of your choice. This will rid you of any existing problems, if there are any, and spare you the headache of changing the password...
** WARNING - Do Not do the following unless you are an experienced hardware person **
If you are refering to the bios password, If you are careful you can take out the battery and open the laptop and remove/reinsert the bios battery, however I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you have taken a laptop apart before.
** End Warning **
True, if this is the bios password. you can only solve this by taking the battery out for a few minutes or so for the bios to reset then a checksum error will occur ridding the computer of any existing bios passwords...
But still, if the password is in the OS, I suggest a clean, full install... since this is a newly bought second hand laptop...

Install Freebsd with the kind of resources you mentioned that is the best. Next best option is Linux.
Both these have it own set of games.
I am not game expert but you do have stuff like doom on Linux.Regards
Amar
I think they have doom on linux, i'm not sure... But I think I've played with it when i was fooling around on my college's linux system... but that was ages ago...
either way, it captures the screen... so, A Monkeys Uncle's question is answered making this thread solved... or is it??
A Monkeys Uncle, probably the one time you did it with MS Paint was with the printscreen key...
what is it? seems like a broken link...
Can someone tell me about Hijack This.
I hear you guys talking about it all the time.
well, HijackThis is basically the task manager plus more... it shows running processes and registry entries giving you a better grip on what's happening on your computer... or I think it is...
maybe it's really something that those people who makes these malwares exploit. don't you think?
is it administrator password for the laptop itself or for the OS?? some additional info on the brand, model, OS, or anything you can provide will give those who want to help a better understanding of the problem that you are having...
social security number.
