and does it take it an unusally long time to Shut Down? Try waiting about 5 mins after complete shutdown, then disconnect the Power Cord, wait 30 seconds, plug it back and try to Boot.

catweazle, with 98SE, setup over an existing installation will attempt to run on a RAM Drive and subsequintly fail on reboot because the RAM Drive no longer exists. Rather, That's what happened ot Me once!...lol....didn't try it again!

How Much RAM do ya have? Also, Check Your Free Space on the C:\ Drive. in Windoze Explorer, Right-Click the C: Drive, goto "Properties". That Should give You a Graphical Display, in a "Pie Chart" form of Your Disc usage. lemme know and we'll go from there.
