Plain and simple advice: Do not rush into purchasing a laptop.
I've been there, done that, and spent $4000 on something that was DEF. not worth it, and I could have done a whole lot better. Just make sure the system is what you want and you should probably have a budget to stick to. For real, make sure ten times over that you want the machine before you buy it. Or else $4000 later you'll be cranky like me :D
No idea, guess it just gives users an idea of how helpful a person is. lol, I guess you can understand why mine remains at the default (10). Users can rate other users post, whether they were helpful or not, I think that affects the reputation. Sorry I couldn't help more.
Would you please find the driver attached. Extract these files to a Floppy Disk by selecting the floppy disk as your extract path. If you don't have either winzip or winrar, I suggest you download them. If you can't figure out how to extract directly to the floppy disk, just extract them somewhere onto your hard drive and copy the files onto the disk. To use these drivers, I suggest you read the readme file included in the zip file. Otherwise when you get to the command prompt, type as follows.
A:
(then press enter to go to the floppy drive, if you're floppy drive is a different letter then use it in place of the "A", then type)
Just a suggestion, I'm not particularly skilled with vb either so my suggestion may seem ridiculous but I thought I'd try to help anyways. Have you tried replacing the if statements with case statements? Like this?

Langola, have you tried ctrl+alt+delete and looking in the processes in the task manager to see if the file is running? If so, just end it and then you can delete it :). Also I find alot of the time this happens, if you are feeling nice and lazy, just restart then give it another go. Also if the above doesn't work, just look in the applications and close any programs that might be using it, then try again. What is the file anyway? name and extension would be good.
Fixed this one also guys. Here is the code for my hit counter. There was also some code to create .gif images for the number images on the fly but... it proved a little difficult, I'll probably put them in version two of the website. The company website is nearly up :D the boss loves it, I'll keep you guys updated so I can get some feedback on my work, thanks! Here is the code

ummm, I'm not sure this will help but you have to try something anyway. Try updating all your windows updates... my machine used to do the same thing on a regular basis and updating seemed to fix it.
