My kids would become mini-Bill Gates if that was the case of my wife being a geek.

All of my "girl-friends" (girls that are my friends) aren't very geeky, they are all cheerleaders with good grades... The most they know is how to send a text or how to type an essay or maybe update their statuses on the Social Medias...

Congratz Matt on making it into Oxford, I am going to apply to Harvard University/MIT when i am able to go to a university. So right now, i am maintaining my straight A's, extra curriculars, and I am prepping for the SAT (1 and 2) and ACT.

But anyways... the best gift i have ever recieved was my dog (small white maltese dog, pure white with curly tail/pig tail, probably a teacup/toy dog). That dog makes me happier by the day and it is my alarm clock on the weekends too :)... he wakes me up at around 4-5 AM on the weekends.

We are invincible.

no such thing... the simplest things can harm anyone... Countries cannot be invincible, ever... One good strike with a grenade can send a country in rage. So lets not say countries are invincible. BTW, Russia lost in the cold war against USA and some battles against Afghanistan (a country that has not lost a war).

we are very peacefull ppl but in need we are beastes.

Sounds normal everywhere...

Russia could/can turn you into dust DUST in 3-5 minutes.

Sounds normal in any country to be capable of doing such... :/

I believe that on envato sites (if you want to sell anything) they will make you take a test, and you have to pass it before you can sell anything.

similar to Facebook, perhaps?

i didn't know facebook has such a thing.

What DaniWeb needs is a 'memorial account' option

I read a couple of Dave Sinkula's posts, he has some pretty good posts... why not create a memorial page for him...

But how would you know if a Daniwebber is no longer living...? Wouldn't that be kind of challenging to figure out?

I found a resource that can help some people learn programming a bit better. The resources are provided by Harvard (presented by their students) and I watch a couple of their videos and they were really good.

So I thought I should share it with you guys.

Here is the site: https://www.cs50.net/ and if you want to go directly to their resources, go here: https://manual.cs50.net/Seminars

I hope this resource helps you guys.

almond trout or (it's the season!) asparagus the flemish way.

Almonds on a trout? Haven't tried that yet, maybe in the future I will sneak in a few almonds on a trout (or any fish...)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

okay, so I made some changes...

Everything is all secure on the security page and i see this on one of the secured rows: The MySQL admin user root has no longer no password. is that a good thing?

The privliges on the phpmyadmin still haven't been enabled. any clues on how to change that from here?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

I don't believe that the name defines the person so it makes no difference anyway...

So true... anyone here could be named something good/bad but really is the opposite.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

okay, I have done that and the security page looks completely different.

The table that shows what is active/unknown/deactivated shows that "A MySQL server is not running or is blocked by a firewall!" is unkown and "A FTP server is not running or is blocked by a firewall!" is also unkown.

What do I do now?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Not bad, most people can't make it to 9% (I am around 5-6.5%) and I don't considered myself a body builder... i have the abs, defined muscles all over, and well nutrition, etc.... damn, my narcissism really kicked in lol.

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Watched Oblivion last night. It was good, but it lacked something in my opinion. I am still not sure what that "something" is but, meh oh well.

To me, it was a rip off of I, Robot but it was overall a good film.

I have gone shredded before after months of doing a high protein/low car diet, with cardio. It just isn't my favorite thing to do. When I am bulking, I get to eat more and I see faster muscle growth, which I love. I usually start cutting down though before summer time so I don't look like a fat ### lol.

Define shredded, do you mean like 5-8% body fat (kind of like me, narcissim is kicking in) or you have evidence of muscles (10-15%).
Have you gotten your BMI measured yet?

The salad was actually pretty healthy, besides the dressing (jalapeno ranch) and the tortilla that it came with. It was a little too large as well

At least you didn't have mcDonald salad...

Tomorrow my carb cutting starts along with adding extra cardio into my day.

Cardio... my favorite :) One of the keys to why I look ripped (sorry I am a bit narcistic) :)

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Just ate a Mexican salad with chicken on it, called a Bajio Ensalada, and it was great.

I am guessing your not lifting today.

I just had an apple, and water... I don't know why I don't like the combination of water and apple in my mouth...

@LastMitch,

This is what I have for the security page:

And on the status page, the SMTP Service and tomcat are deactivated.

@IIM, on my xampp, it says it is connected to a mysql database... but I am not really sure if I have actually downloaded MySQL for this computer (I have for my other one).

Sorry for responding so late, I didn't realize that there were unread comments here.

But anyways, I noticed something strange.

When I went to the database page in phpmyadmin, the "no privilige" message dissapeared. But when I refresh the page, the message is back.

Any idea why I can't get this thing working. I know I am logged in as the root and I am able to work with the .ini file. Any clues?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

@xantipius, the link does not work. How long did your father serve the military?

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

Unfortunately the two bombers were Muslims, so there will be quite a bit of hatred going around.

tell me about it... muslims aren't allowed to terrorize and you are to commit a major sin if you do terrorize. Unfortunately Osama left a bad impression of our religion. But luckily, there won't be as much hatred as before (9-11).

<M/> 170 Why so serious? Featured Poster

@Xantipius, almost 50 years. :)

3 whole years before I was born.

Wait 3 whole years after he was born or after he taken the photo in '75?
