Hello all,

When I enable Audit Trail, there are two options, AUDIT_TRAIL = DB or AUDIT_TRAIL = OS. If I use "OS", when in Windows, the audit records will be sent to the Event Viewer; but now that I am using UNIX, so can someone tell me where is the audit file located? And do I need to configure some settings so that I can use syslog to view these audits?

Also, no matter AUDIT_TRAIL is set to DB or OS, some records will always be written into the operating system logs, such as database startup and database shut down. Where are there records located, and how to view them?

I am sorry that I have made things much more difficult. Now I cange my question to: How to view the operating system audit trail in hp-ux unix, using syslog or what else?
