Short answer: there is no current, official way to sort Google search results by a public “PageRank” score. Google stopped exposing the toolbar PageRank number (the green bar) and the publicly available PR feed was shut off in April 2016, so any live “PR” lookup seen today is either stale or an estimate, not Google’s internal value. (Search Engine Land)

Better approach (what actually works today)

  • For a site you control, use Google Search Console’s Links report to see which pages and domains link to your content — that is the authoritative starting point for backlink work. ()
  • For competitive research or to sort results by a proxy “authority” score, use third‑party metrics (they are estimators, not Google PageRank): Moz Domain Authority, Ahrefs Domain Rating/URL Rating, Majestic Trust Flow/Citation Flow, or Semrush Authority Score. Each vendor documents how their score is built and how best to use it. (Moz DA) (Ahrefs DR) (Majestic Flow Metrics) (Semrush Authority Score)

Quick, practical workflow (use this instead of hunting for a PR search site)

  1. Verify the property in Search Console and export the Links report. ()
  2. Use a third‑party tool (bulk check or browser toolbar) to get DA/DR/TF/Authority for the linking domains. MozBar and Ahrefs’ SEO Toolbar are convenient for on‑the‑fly checks. (MozBar) (Ahrefs SEO Toolbar)
  3. Sort/export the list by the third‑party metric, then manually audit top prospects for relevance, placement, and link quality.
  4. If spammy links appear and a manual action is present, follow Google’s guidance (clean up/outreach first; use disavow only when necessary). ()

Context for this thread: started the request and several members suggested PR lookups or browser plugins years ago. Those tactics worked when Google publicly exposed PR, but the landscape changed — the modern, reliable workflow is Search Console + third‑party metrics + manual audit rather than trying to sort live Google results by PageRank.

Use the Google directory. It lists sites in order of PR.

just search , list pagerank on google and you should find all the sites you need to

Install SEO Quake plugin. AFter installing when you search, then seoquake will provide an option to sort pages based on PR.

I used mozzila add-on search status for checking.
