I don't believe that Google go any soft on sites who run a PPC campaign. Google works on a very systematic way and its proved over lots of years.
PPC can help you to improve your organic search position but don't expect anything special. If you want to do better on organic follow proper white hat techniques.

Well to me google will give you importance if you are running PPC campaigns.. My point is that both SEO and PPC support each other in the search engine rankings..
