A quick historical note for anyone landing here later: Google launched Google+ Pages for businesses on November 7, 2011 as the official way for brands and local shops to have a presence on the network. That launch is what inspired threads like this one and the early rush to “claim” brand names. (googleblog.blogspot.com)
Several points from the replies are worth clarifying. The friction and mentioned — having to use a personal account to create or manage a page, juggling multiple Google logins, and worrying about account-level access — was real. Google’s long-term solution for shared access is the Brand Account model (used by YouTube and other products), which lets a team add owners and managers so you don’t share passwords or force everyone into one personal Google login. See Google’s Brand Account guidance for how to manage permissions. ()
Spam and impersonation were also early pain points (as warned). On top of that, Google later changed strategy: the consumer Google+ product was sunset and consumer pages were closed as part of Google’s 2018–2019 changes, while enterprise-focused features were migrated into Workspace products (Currents for G Suite/Workspace). For business-facing visibility today, Google centers local search and Maps presence around Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business). (arstechnica.com)
Practical next steps (if the goal is an evergreen, searchable business presence): claim and verify your Google Business Profile, keep ownership on a secure, long-lived Google Account, and invite team members as managers rather than sharing credentials. Use a Brand Account when you need multi-person management for media channels (YouTube, etc.), and rely on official verification/ownership flows rather than paid “+1” services — those bring risk and no long-term value. Google’s Business Profile help has the step-by-step flow for claiming, verifying, and adding users. ()

Now we all know that g+ is open for the business. And now people can add the brand in their circles which create the mixture of the personal and professional data though in the two separate circle, and it will be tough for people to manage all things. Apart from this it will be so tedious for the companies to not work with the multiple google accounts at the same time. So more need for some small changes to build the more strong business platform on g+ that people more use it.
G+ is a spammer's dream. Already search engine manipulators that are following me have figured out how to create multiple brand profiles for the purpose of selling me +1 shares in bulk ...
Google + business pages is an epic initiative by google but they made quite complicated either you have to use your personal profile or you have to sign in as a page it should have as in facebook.

I kind of like the idea of having to prove yourself as being a human being first and foremost, then be given the green light to morph yourself into circles of networked business conglomerates; pimping and pumping out plus points click click clicks.
