here are some suggestion for SEO of your blog:

Set unique title tag for each page of your blog
set meta keywords and met description for your blog
Keep the keyword density upto 4%
create the unqique and infromational content for each page of the blog.
Do social bookmarking and directory submission of your blog regularly.

Unique content and proper optimization of keywords! There are a lot of things you could do with a blog post like creating an original video or sharing your own helpful infographics. Visual aids are definitely more shareable.

If Your Are Doing Social Bookmarking, Directory Submission. Do Remember that Do not Spam (Don't Do More than 10 Social Bookmarking daily) and Try to make Link from High PR Website's/Directories

I agree with Kelly Burgy. Always remember the most important thing in SEO for blog. It is a good, informative, helpful content of your blog. Also, keywords, provide a good keywords that you think people will search in your niche.

The main thing that every blogger should know that your blog should be engaging and user friendly. After completing the basic optimization of your blog like adding title,description etc. Also include RSS for your blog.

Try to install WP SEO by Yoast, and add every page with unique Description, Title and also optimize by other techniques.
