can anyone tell me why when i try and install a cdwriter and dvdwriter in the same pc on the same ribbon cable they are not recongnized properly?Yet if i use a cdrom and dvd writer everythings ok!

The drive on the end connector must be 'Master' and the drive on the middle connector must be 'Slave'.

Yes, ive tried that and cable select, but the pc just seems to see them as cdrom's. I don't have a problem if installing cdrom as master and dvdwriter as slave.
