I need to upgrade a PC to a core 2 duo processor 2.53Ghz 2Gb RAM, and run OS win 98, as this is the only option I have to run an application used for VRT tests which runs only on Win 98. is this possible? or is there a way how to make it possible please?

Jump to PostTry right-clicking the application, going to properties and running it in 'compatibility mode' for Win98. It's not guaranteed to work, but it's worth a shot.

I would suggest installl vista or Xp on the new PC and install the vitual PC as well so you can install and run the windows 98 within the Vista/Xp.
