Hi,
My 500 Giga WD MyBook HD is dead and I'm looking for a dependable replacement.
Since this failure happened with a year use, I am prone to look for a more dependable option?
Should I prefer an internal HD and an enclosure? If so, suggestions and warnings are highly appreciated.
Should I continue with an external HD (MyBook like)? If so, again, suggestions and warnings are highly appreciated.

I have a 250gb Mybook which ive had for ages and havent had any problems.. you may have just been unlucky with it? Not really too sure what to suggest as a replacement.. it really depends on whether you need it for portability? otherwise i would probably just put another drive into the machine itself. hope this helps.
