I am trying to resusitate a Dell Optiplex GX 150. At boot up all I get is a series of beeps. I tried to boot from a Windows 98 boot disk with no luck. Any suggestions. I am fairly certain the beeps mean something about either the mother board, the ram, or PCI cards - what? I don't know. Help

Have a look here and see which best describes the beeps that you hear - http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml

Rik,

Thank you very much. The beeps indicated bad RAM. I replaced it and everything seems fine so far.
