My HP has 1.2GHz Intel Celeron and bought a 1.4GHz Pentium III, the problem is that when I install the new processor the computer wont boot up. The Pentium III is a PGA2 with an integrated heatsink, but my only guess is that it wont fit the 370PGA socket, right? I have a Trigem Poleon motherboard with the latest BIOS, Phoenix 3.07. What can I do to run the P3 on my computer? Both run on 133MHz FSB and are Tulatin-based cores. Do I need a PGA2 to PGA socket adapter or should i just upgrade the motherboard? Thank you. I have researched, but it is hard to find any good information on my motherboard.
