Hi all, my acer notebook which is 5 years old,shuts down automatically after few minutes of boot. I tried formatting the notebook it shuts down in the middle. I am also using a usb cooler for the notebook, i have reseated the memory as well as the battery. Still the problem persists...any suggestions?

yeah buy anouther computer, or you could try to totaly wipe the computer could be a software problem, it sounds like it could be a startup virus that cuts your computer off or the computers mother board could have goten over heated at one time and the solering melted and is cauesing a short

5 years is a good age for a laptop, or any computer. Buy a new one and keep that as a "project" :D
