Hi. I bought a new mobo today. It supports 2.5V DDR Ram. The old board I am replacing (A7N8X-E DELUXE which is total ass) required 2.6V.

Question: Will using my 2.6V RAM in my new mobo that says it takes 2.5V RAM hurt anything, lock anything up, fry or kill anything? Thanks for any advice.

not sure, but it will proly just run at 2.5V. But as far as putting it in and totally frying the mobo, not gonna happen. the worst that will happen is just that your computer wont post if the ram doesnt work.

What is your new motherboard? If your RAM requires 2.6V to operate, then you may experience instability if there aren't enough volts. However, most recent boards should be able to supply enough, with some offering an option in the BIOS to adjust the voltage.
