Restart on Boot-up???

Hi people

1st post here , so hello !! and thanks for any help !!

P.C is:

I have a Fujuitsu Scaleo P ( 1st edition I think )…old but loved 
Windows XP s/p2
Intel® Pentium® 4 HT

I had a virus that wiped out my registry so I send to pc shop and all seemed fine for a few days

…..Now the pc wont boot , it starts , XP pops up and the XP bar at the bottom tries to load….

….it then reboots and powers down/back on ………..it seems RANDOM there seems to be no pattern

I had it working for over 30mins the other day…now im back to cannot get it too boot….

As the problem seems randon I think it’s the power unit ???

Any ideas???

I understand pc language a bit but BIOS etc is outa my depth !!!

Try a OS repair from the OEM disc.

..hi there!..try to check your power supply for any damage..or, try to replace or swap a new memory to your old one..if the issue still continues, then, try to repair or reformat your PC..i hope it helps!..^_^..

i would suggest you try SAFE MODE first. If this helps, search through MSCONFIG/PROGRAMS what rusn at startup. If that is not working, try to get some antivirus boot cd (http://www.freedrweb.com/livecd/), and clean computer first.
