Hey Guys ,
I am using two different RAM( first 1 is 256 Mb and other is 1 Gb) in two different slots. Does it harm the system.
Even now my system's motherboard is not working. The problem is everything starts but the monitor is not switching on.
Pls help!

Different RAM will work together if you get lucky. Preferably you need matched pairs.
Remove one stick of RAM and then remove the motherboard battery (make sure that the power is disconnected first) and leave it out for 5 minutes before putting it back in.
Try again to start the PC.

I think that it may be a problem with the video card, if it isn't displaying anything. If there is an onboard video card, try that.
