Approx (x3) weeks ago my dell crashed out of the blue. Working away then i get a green screen and the laptop crashes. Could not start it up for about (x2) days and on the third day it starts up oput of the blue. Now a couple of days ago it died again..not green screen this time just died. I have tried some of the remedies posted on old threads...taking the battery out, restarting it leaving it for 20-30 minutes then attempting to restart..no good. Took the ram out (which i updated recently 520 to 2 gigs) and tried restarting. now all i have is the "caps lock" light flashing and a black screen. Any ideas folks machine is only 3 years old...

Sounds like a hardware fault. You will probably have to take it to a professional.
