First off... overclocking. I have no idea how to do it or anything about it. Where would be a good place to find out about it. I wont even toy w/ the idea of doin it till I know much much more about it.
Now to the real problem. I have a HP Pavilion ZV6000 (ZV6138 to be exact) model laptop. It has a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ and 512 MB of ram. I want to upgrade to 2 gigs of ram and I know it has 2 ram slots. I have called HP and gotten different answers 3 times. What kinda of ram can I put in my laptop? I have been told DDR2 will work but also taht it wont work. Ive also been told my laptop wont accept more than 1 gig of ram... Im sure thats crap. Any ideas anyone?
Thx for the time, lj.

I don't know about laptop, but for desktop, you should check what kind of mobo chipest you got, then you will know what kind of RAM and how much it can support.
