Hello everyone. I added an ethernet adapter card to a computer of mine yesterday and the keyboard stopped working. I've checked the connection and it's fine. The keyboard appears to be disabled at BIOS level because I can't get into setup by pressing DEL during the boot process. Windows still boots up fine and the mouse works. I think my only option is to remove the CMOS battery and replace again to make the BIOS scan for devices again. Has anyone else had a problem like this and did resetting the CMOS sort it out? Thanks for any advice.

Steven.

Hi. The problem has been solved now. I reset the CMOS and un - bent the pins on the keyboard cable (which I can only assume I damaged myself a few days ago). The ethernet card got installed easily as well :p .
