Hello Everyone,

I have three hard disks installed in my system
1.Samsung 40Gb ultra ATA HDD
2.Samsung SATA 80 GB HDD
3.Segate SATA 250GB HDD

Added in the order given above.When initially disks 1 and 2 were installed everything was fine.The problem started when the Segate 250 Gb HDD was Added. When The Segate disk was added, the Samsung SATA 250gb disk stared giving a ticking sound and then it would stop showing up in My Computer.Sometimes this would happen to the Segate HDD and it would stop showin in my computer. But it never happens that both of them fail. The disk 1. works fine and has the OS installed.Also when either one of the SATA disks is disconnected(by removing the power chord) the Other SATA disk works fine.

I have checked the SMART staticstics on all drives and drive and all are above 90% fit and healthy.
What could be the problem.

Disk 2 and 3 are kept close to each other (about 3 or 4 cm apart)
could this be the problem or could it be a power supply related problem
