Hi,
my laptop is not getting booted.
whenever i try to charge it, the light on the charger gets off.
with that charger i can charge my other laptop.
so it seems that there is some problem with laptop & not the charger.
what can be the problem that charger light goes off as soon as i plug it in to laptop for charing?

what labtop do you have? I've run into similar problems with my parents labtop and it ended up being a short in the labtop were the charger connects to the labtop itself.
i have DELL XPS laptop.
how did u got the problem fixed?
well my parents labtop was old and not worth fixing, so we didn't fix it. i would suggest takeing it into some computer shop or to geek squad. If its still under warrenty you could try dell support as well.
i'm not sure how much that would cost, but if it is a short theres not much you can do. it would require taking the labtop appart.
