I have an older G3 with OsX 10.0.4 on it. I am going to sell it and want to wipe out the hard drive. So... I did some research and found a good hard drive wiper. I download it. Then when I go to mount it DiskCopy displays
Checksum:CRC32 $B9C2F4AD INVALID
Unable to verify: Shredit.dmg

Please try to help! Many thanks!

P.S. I am an experienced 0s9 user. I recently bought a new G4 and am just experiencing 0sX. This is the first time this has happened.

Hi,

If you had an older G3, did it ship with OS X, or OS 9? If you wanted to zap it, reformat the drive for OS 9 and away you go.

Or, if it came with OS X on it, boot with the X disk, and re-format the drive, and set it up then.
