I am running Win XP and IE 6.0. When running IE, I select Tools, Internet Options, Settings from the General Tab, most times nothing happens when I press View Files or View Objects. Occasionally I get Microsoft telling me I have encountered a problem.

If your solution means re-installing IE, can you tell me the best way.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Hmm, I've never encountered this before, but I will have to admit that IE is prone to corruption :( You should be able to download IE from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.mspx

If memory serves correctly, the installer automatically uninstalls an old version before re-installing. There might also be a "repair" feature instead of doing a clean install.

I've just tried to load this from your link and ( I have IE6 SP2 loaded) it tells me it can't because a higher version is already installed. Your link is for SP1. Any ideas? Thanks.
