Help anyone. My internet connection just recently started going very slowly at only about 30kbps and it should be going at at least 2500kbps. I scanned for viruses and spyware using norton, ESET Nod 32, ad-aware, and some other problems but nothing comes up. i will copy and paste my HJT.

i need to know what to delete

Is it Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

it's for ethernet. please someone help.

Hi, you have quite an infection there.
Since there is a note of urgency in your thread, I will be solving the thread in this topic.
But in future, please post any HijackThis log in the Viruses/Spyware section.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When MBA-M finishes, Notepad will open with the log. Please save it where you can find it easily. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt.

Please post this in your reply and include a fresh HijackThis log.

These were my results.

Hi, have you fixed any entry with HijackThis?
In your first log, I see an infection, but in your second, I don't see it.
Also, MBAM has not removed anything, so it's just not appearing in the log.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner and save it to your desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.

  • Save all your work and close all opened programs.
  • Double click on dss.exe to run it. Follow the prompts.
  • When the scan is complete, two log files will be produced. The first one, main.txt, will be maximized, the second one, extra.txt, will be minimized.
  • Please post the contents of the 2 log files in your next reply. 1 log per reply please.

I can't download that program from that website I get the following message when I hit the download button.

Deckard's System Scanner interacts with a specific rootkit (tdssserv) in a way that may make your system unusable (altering the svchost netsvcs registry entry). This download link has been removed until a fix is released by Deckard. For your own protection, please do not attempt to download this tool from other sites.

Your Geeks to Go admin team

I have removed some infections using HJT by looking at other cases, I should have mentioned that earlier.

Hi, I guessed that you had fixed the entries in HijackThis, and I'm very disappointed.

It gets harder for me to identify which are the malware files if you continue to fix things without my knowledge. Also, you may benefit from it temporarily, but later, you will have to come back for a complete removal.

Honestly speaking, fixing that line using HijackThis only removes the registry entry, and prevent it from starting up. It does not remove the infection from your computer.

Also, I forgot about DSS being taken down.

Please refrain from doing anything else without my knowledge.

Download Silent Runners.zip and extract it to a new folder on your Desktop.

  • Run the Silent Runners.vbs file.
  • You will receive a prompt: "Do you want to skip supplementary searches?" - click "NO."
  • If your antivirus has a script blocker, you will get a warning asking if you want to allow Silent Runners.vbs to run.
  • This script is not malicious so please allow it.
  • A text file will appear in the folder - it's not done, let it run. (It won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once the "All Done!" prompt flashes up, open the text file and save it to SR's folder on you Desktop.

Post this log in your next reply.

How do u get it to run? Sorry I replied so late i had an appointment to take care of. And in the future i will inform you about all of my actions and will not do anything unless you tell me to.

I tried right clicking on it and opening it with command prompt and it seemed as though it would work, but then it just closes. Before that it says " 'Silent Runners' has started . Please be patient..." then it closes and does nothing.

it did save this though
