I have a 128kbs upload speed so files and pictures can take quite awhile to send. Is it possible to see the progress in % or kb rather than just "sending"?

I don't think so. Microsoft progress bars are marginally useful anyways.

Houston is right, the file transfer estimate in Windows isn't always very accurate, simply because the programming needed to get it properly right would be quite excessive. If you can see the Send & Receive Window, you're good.

Having said that, you can search for an Outlook plugin that might do what you want, and you may be lucky to turn something good up. Do post back here if that is case and let us know :-).
