Hi I am running win2K on a Dell optiplex gX400.
I started getting the wont power off after shutdown but re-boots itself.
I reset the bios settings to trap any errors and now on shut down I get the blue screen of death as shown below.
Any help or advice will be appreciated, thanks

Yes sorry, I am running windows 2000 Pro SP4
I have 512mb ECC ram installed
this info is for xp but might help .as it for restart when trying to shut down.

The problem appears to be with ntoskrnl.exe, which is required for Boot up.
Try running sfc /scannow.
You will need your Win 2000 os disk.
