Hi, and thanks in advance for any insight. I've been trying to work on my parent computer (remote access -log me in) . Their video display comes on for a moment then turns off. Trouble shooting tried is:
1. Changed video card ( was previously on board vid). -this worked for about a day.. they then turned off the monitor and it quit.
2. Changed out monitor.. same problem.
3. Booting to safe mode.. same problem.
4. was daring and even had them try to boot into the bios...no luck.
It seems the computer sends the signal briefly then quits sending it.
The computer is working fine as I'm able to remotely log in and view it over the net. (using logmein software).
I've even turned off the logmein app.. but still no display.
When changing resolutions a brief display is shown..then back to black.
Ideas?... and sorry for the long post.
