I dont know how it happened but only a few months after having a technician clean my computer I now have spyware/malware! The very same that I had before where the desktop displays "warning your computer is at risk, please download antivirus software" None of my programs will open so I am now in safe mode. Here is my hijack this log. Please tell me how to solve this, I have to do homework on this computer, I am in an online class and this is preventing me from doing it!

You have a lot of bad entries in that log.

You need to update windows as you only have SP1.
You need to do an Mbam scan and post it's results. Mbam can be found here - http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
You need to get an up to date version of hijackthis from here - http://majorgeeks.com/Trend_Micro_HijackThis_d5554.html then post a fresh log from it.

And finally, you need to sack the guy that did a cleanup on your system as he did a very bad job of it.

I downloaded the malware bytes but the computer wont let me open it, not even in safe mode. It says that it is running but nothing is on the screen! I also updated my windows to Sp2. What do I do?

First off, do you do any form of online banking? If so, change all passwords by telephone to protect yourself from fraud. Do the same with any paypal accounts you may have and anything else that could possibly be defrauded.

Secondly, you need to choose. Your pc is quite badly infected and the infection may have already done damage to windows. It is also possible that damage may be caused by the removal process.

Your choices are 1 - a new install of windows. 2 - attempt a cleanup.

It is up to you how you wish to proceed.

Im like so going to be sad, that tech told me that he reinstalled windows and he did a system recovery and a whole bunch of other things claiming that he wiped everything out. That costed so much cash! Omg, but I guess I will try to eradicate the problem with a cleanup, as I am not going to rely on that incompetent computer tech who did absolutely nothing. How do I clean it?

Right. We need to try to get Mbam to work.

Open hijackthis and place a tick next to each of the entries listed below (if there).

Click the fix button with your browser closed down.

Reboot your pc, check to see if Mbam will now work and post a fresh HJT log.

for malwarebytes ,go into its install folder in program files folder[C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware] and change the MBAM.exe file to something different like Byteme.exe ,and click on it to run it works for me when i cant get it to run on infected computers.
also i recommend this cleaning tool CCleaner
Download Ccleaner, Install it, Open it...
Under the 'Cleaner' Section select all in the 'Windows' And 'Applications' Tab, Then click on 'Analyze' And then 'Run Cleaner'...
Do The Same In The 'Registry' Tab, i.e. 'Scan For Issues' and 'Fix Selected Issues', It will ask you to make a backup, DO IT...
Then Click on 'Fix All'...run the registry one until it finds no more! Now Reboot The Pc..

You are totally awesome! I downloaded the cleaner and it deleted my registry! My home screen is now intact and the programs are now accessible! Thanks so much!

good news ,good luck

You should still run mbam and post a log from it along with a fresh HJT log. You also need to update your pc further as SP3 is available and has been around for a while.
