Usually I use my 56k internal modem to connect to the internet, then I went on vacation, where I used bothmy Ethernet connection for Cable, and my PCMCIA for a wireless connection

I get back home, and now my COM ports are gone, and I can't connect through my 56k.

and by "the COM ports are gone, I mean that whenever I open the Device Manager, my COM ports are GONE.

The modem itself is still recognized, and reinstalling the drivers, restarting, and yelling at it have all failed.

Help!
