I can't to clone my HDD because some services are missing.
I know that SOME services can be restored by running a suitable reg file.
Where can I get the reg files for the following services :
1. MS Software Shadow Copy Provider
2. COM+ System Application
3. COM+ Event System
4. System Event Notification.
How else could these services be restored ?
Hi,
SFC will check for and restore Windows system files. I do not know exactly what files it will or will not repair/replace but you can try that first.
Go to “START”
Click “RUN”
Type or “copy and paste”… sfc.exe /scannow
Note:- the space after “exe”. You may be required to use your installation disk.
If you still don't have the files you need after that, post back and we can help you further.
