Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I wasn't sure where to post this. In any case, I'm running Windows Vista, and recently all the videos I'm playing on my computer have become very laggy (regardless of which media player I use). I believe this may be a result of installing too many different codecs at once. However, I have no idea how to remove them or even how to figure out which ones I should remove. Ideally, I'd like to remove all the codecs that aren't defaults that come with the installation of Vista, and then I'd just re-install the additional ones I may need.

So, how can I identify the codecs that are causing problems and then remove them?

Thanks,
Rob
