I have a 2 month old Sony Vaio VPCEE23FX. Everything works great except sometimes when I use the touchpad it will randomly move in different directions regardless of how I move my finger. It will also lag and lock-up or move very slowly. I don't know if this is a fault caused by the strange design of the touchpad on the laptop or a hardware fault.

Sorry for the unnecessary bump but I thought I'd add that it's a Synaptics TouchPad and this problem does not occur on a USB mouse.

Also, I have already tried to uninstall the driver and reinstall the latest driver from the Synaptics website, but that actually made it worse if you can believe it.
