good day guys. I would like to ask if it is possible to repair a computer with an existing XP with sp2 installed with an XP sp3 installation disk? i have trouble with my laptop this past days and i just want to repair it without formatting the hard drive and loosing all my data' and i dont want to the trouble to back up all my bulky files... any comments and solutions will be very much appreciated. thank you.

Jump to PostI beleive that would work. However, if there was something incompatible, you could service pack your existing OS to SP3, then overlay the repair after that. Although the SP3 may fix your issue since these service packs replace a vast majority of existing files.
