I got an error on my Windows 7 PC out of the blue, it said this under the "Technical Information" side:
stop 0x0000001A (0x0000000000005003, 0xFFFFF70001080000, 0x0000000000000833, 0x0000083B00001076)

I am am doing a scan with MalwareBytes because this is the first time I got this error. Any other reason as to why this might have happened and is there a way to prevent it?

Update: a computer on the same network just crashed with the same error so we think it may be a worm

Follow that scan with a run of memtest86+ from memtest.org.
Coincidences do happen, it is likely to be a RAM module failure.
