I have recently installed the Sony writer & its software that was included, & have uninstalled all incompatable programs like Nero/Adaptec/Roxio etc. I also have a partitioned system with Xp on 1 & ME on another. I have also formated a new CD-RW blank disc with Sonic DLA (this software is installed on both XP & ME). For some strange reason when i insert the disc into the XP system it wont recognise the disc, in properties it says file system unknown & i cannot drag & drop any files it says cannot copy files coz files on this drive are read only. In ME it works perfectly fine, it recognises the disc & i am able to drag & drop files. I have installed & re-installed the software many times, still no luck. What could the problem be?
